PROGRAM OVERVIEW
This two-day hands-on training workshop will focus on pertinent anatomy and
physiology of the skin, assessment, evaluation, and classification of different
skin types using the Fitzpatrick Model. We will explore factors affecting skin
health and rejuvenation as well as conducting a comprehensive client history,
effective skin analysis, and developing an individualized plan for treatment
of aged, acne, rosacea, and pigmented skin. Presentation of contraindications
to treatment and management of adverse events. We will explore different types
of chemical peels available (Glycolic, Lactic, MFA’s, Salicylic, TCA,
Vitamin A Acid, and Jessner) their differences and how they work. You will
learn various application techniques for chemical peeling and micro-dermabrasion
through practical hands-on sessions. A course specific, “How
To” business model overview will be presented encompassing partnering
between medical professional, standardized procedure and protocol policies,
purchasing sources, price structuring, market trends, effective marketing,
and development and retention of client base.
Objectives – Participants will be able to:

| • | Explain the physiologic functions of integument system |
| • | Describe endogenous-exogenous factors affecting skin integrity |
| • | Identify components of history, assessment, skin analysis, and treatment indications |
| • | Identify safety issues, contraindications, complication and precautions of chemical peels and microdermabrasion |
| • | Discuss Chemical Peeling and Microdermabrasion in skin rejuvenation |
| • | Demonstrate the chemical peel procedure (using AHA, Salicylic, or Combination TCA/Salicylic) |
| • | Develop individualized care plans – treatment protocols |
| • | Demonstrate the microdermabrasion procedure

PHYSICIAN CONTINUING EDUCATION
This course is designed with optimal criteria for eligibility of CME Category II credits which are self submitted. Physicians should only submit and claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Attendees will receive a course manual, marketing tools, necessary supporting forms and templates on disc such as history, consent, and policy/procedure. Certification of Training upon completion of course, 15.5 Contact Hours (CE’s) Approved for Nursing. This educational activity is designated as a AMA Category II offering for Physicians and Physician Assistants.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Please note: All cancellations must be received (not postmarked)
in writing via mail or fax transmission. Cancellation Policy must
be strictly enforced since workshops require a great deal of planning
and preparation.
• A refund will be given, less a $150.00 processing fee, if cancelled
at least 14 days prior to the start of the workshop. Any cancellations after
this time will not qualify for a refund, but may be used toward a future workshop
with the approval of the administrative department of ESI.
• Since a minimum number of registrants are necessary for each course
and we do not meet this minimum, or for any other reason beyond our control
the course is cancelled or postponed, registration fee will be refunded in
full. Please note, ESI is not responsible for deposits to hotels, non-refundable
airline tickets or fees associated with necessary airline changes. Thank You
